It was a thrill to get the music outside the (computer) box and into the hands of living, breathing humans. For me, it was a dream come true to hear my music come to life like that.

Written in conjunction with the 2010 Winter Olympics, the music for Bouchard’s short film “FIGURES” was composer Tim Rideout’s first foray into writing for a live string quartet. “It was a thrill to get the music outside the (computer) box and into the hands of living, breathing humans, he says of the musical process.”For me, it was a dream come true, hearing my own music come to life like that."
