Tutorials and Tips
- Excellent, complete and comprehensive demonstration of the Kaossilator’s features and sounds (even if the beginning is a bit cut off). User “rc10t3” shows us some of the more interesting patches as well, such as S.70 BEAM SABER and S.75 VOICE LOOPER. Details the scale and arpeggiator functions with great demonstrations.

Performances (video)
Ghostradioshow VS Kaossilator
An inspired performance featuring excellent use of sounds and layering. Starts off fairly experimental and tweaky but gets more harmonious as the performance progresses. He even does a live “FIX” operation, changes the length of the loop in real time, performs some nice mutes and transforms - all while retaining the integrity of a smooth live performance!
Mister Funk feat. Miss Gilioux
Recorded for a web-based contest, this is one of the coolest, hippest and most seamless KO-1 performances on YouTube. Check his arrangement technique of building the loop, breaking down very sparsely with only a solo instrument, then bringing the loop back in to continue the build. Nice threads, too.
Dvorak Comes to Dinner
Check out “Mfdhdp”s very musical development of a theme and amazing accuracy when it comes to notes on the Kaossilator. He also virtually extends the sequencing/looping capabilities of the KO-1 by having a loop pre-made before starting, then, once he develops his loop, he does a live “cancel” operation to bring him back to the loop’s original state. Ingenious!

A great performance by this veteran YouTube electronic music poster. Interesting extension of the Kaossilator performance to the Kaoss Pad.

One of my favorite Kaossilator performances on YouTube. Great artistic, melodic and textural sensibility. Again, excellent use of the Kaoss Pad as an arranging and effecting device.
